Cubist accessible home

My clients, Zara and Sam are creative, outgoing people who need a space that allows Zara to move around and do what she loves easily and freely as well as a creatively stimulating home. My concept for the accessible home for my clients is inspired by Cubism but simplified – geometric and colourful that creates a fun, creative and cohesive space. I took inspiration from how Cubist artists took organic shapes and created geometric and linear creations. I applied this approach to the design of the house, creating geometric and linear shapes within every space of the design. The colours and scheme of the house are inspired by the brighter and vibrant colours that cubism was later known for. Starting out as a monochrome style that moved into more vibrant and cheerful style. I took this into account with creating some monochrome areas with black and white while other spaces are full of colour. I wanted the home to feel as if you were walking into a cubist painting.
